American Fugitive is a modern take on the classic sandbox action games. It´s developed by Fallen Tree Games Ltd and published by Curve Digital.

    Story Plot

You are Will Riley, and you live in Redrock County. It’s an American area where criminal activities happen in secret. You are framed for the death of your father and thus locked up for a crime that you didn’t commit. Vengeance is the only thing in your head, but you are locked up so you must do all you can to escape, clear your name and capture the real culprit before it is too late.

Escape from confinement and blend with the townspeople to avoid being captured again. Contact the criminal underworld and make sure not to let the cops get a whiff of your scent or you’ll be dragged right back into prison.

    Gameplay

Break in the buildings in the area to steal items, change your appearance, and try to find clues about your father’s murder. You may have to drive at top speed on the freeway or skid along dirt roads in your high-powered muscle car because you are out to prove your innocence and this game is a race against time. You must act fast!

American Fugitive is coming in 2019.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I freely swap weapons I've picked up at any time, or are there restrictions on when and where I can change my loadout?
You can't swap weapons on the fly. You must find a safehouse to change weapons and store extra ones.
If I knock out a civilian during a heist, will they report me to the police once they regain consciousness?
Yes, unconscious witnesses will report you to the police if they wake up and see you nearby. They might not remember you as a specific person, but they will report an incident.
How does the 'heat' system work? Does it decay over time, or are there actions that directly reduce my wanted level?
The heat decays over time, but actively changing your appearance by changing clothes or using disguise mechanics can decrease your wanted level faster.
Are there consequences for failing a heist beyond getting arrested, such as losing equipment or affecting my reputation with specific factions?
Yes, failing a heist can lead to the loss of equipment. It could also negatively impact your relationships with certain characters or factions, making future missions more difficult.
How important is stealth in American Fugitive? Can I complete most missions by going in guns blazing, or is stealth necessary?
Stealth is a viable option, but not always necessary. Some missions can be completed with a direct approach. However, stealth often provides tactical advantages and reduces the risk of raising the alarm.
Can I customize my character's appearance beyond changing clothes? Are there options to change hair, add tattoos, etc.?
No, the customization is limited to changing clothes that you find. There are no options to change hair or add tattoos.
How does the lockpicking mechanic work? Is it a simple minigame, or does it require a specific skill or tool?
Lockpicking is a simple minigame. You need to find the right key position to unlock doors, which requires observation skills.
Are there any consequences for destroying property besides attracting the police? Does it affect the game's narrative or mission outcomes?
Yes, destroying property can attract the police and may affect the narrative, such as making certain opportunities unavailable or increasing the difficulty of future missions.
How do safehouses work? Can I store vehicles in safehouses, or are they only for weapons and disguises?
Safehouses are used to store weapons, change clothes, and save the game. They cannot be used to store vehicles.
Can I interact with the environment in any meaningful way beyond using weapons, driving vehicles, and using items, such as setting traps?
Yes, you can interact with the environment by setting traps. Some missions require you to use environmental elements for stealth or combat advantages.
