Choose who you’ll rent to. The old lady living alone or a couple of college kids? All tenants bring different kinds of challenges and it’s on you to sort them out. Problems between neighbors, police intervention, property damage, repairs... Remember, you have a contract!

Build your properties however you like. Design the apartment of your dreams, replace old, moldering paint or wallpaper, pull up the floorboards, and make it the best-looking home you can afford. The better it looks, the more you can charge interested parties.
