You play Haruka Kagami, a crime novelist gathering information from the Shijima family. For a century now, the Shijima family has been plagued by violent, mysterious deaths. You find yourself caught up in murders that occurred in different time periods: one in 1922, in 1972, and 2022.

Each episode occurs in three phases:

The Incident phase - you can watch the entire murder as it unfolds, with you gathering details you can use to solve the mystery.
The Reasoning phase - Analyze the clues you found and make deductions on what happened based on your conclusions. Get the deductions wrong, and you’ll end up on the wrong path.
The Solution phase - determine the killer based on your deductions, and refute their arguments with your own clever reasoning.
