Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu is a game set in the fictional Las Cinco Muertes islands that allows gamers to manage their own park filled with prehistoric dinosaurs brought to life through genetic manipulation. The story follows the intrepid Dr. Henry Wu, who remains devoted to his research on creating hybrid dinosaurs and introducing them into the island’s environment. Players will be able to develop two new locations - Isla Muerta and Isla Tacano - while unlocking powerful new tools for the genetic manipulation of these ancient creatures.

Through Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu, players are able to create their own version of Jurassic Park as they make decisions that affect how successful their park becomes – from managing available resources, entertaining guests with displays, creating attractions, and developing compelling campaigns featuring genetically-modified hybrids across both land and sea. Keeping track of an ever-evolving ecosystem alongside growing populations of herbivores and carnivores requires strategy if you want your creations to thrive within it.

In addition, players must also take time maintaining The Hammond Foundation’s reputation by engaging directly or indirectly in missions assigned by Dr. Wu himself; setting up dig sites in order to uncover fossils for cloning purposes as well as mapping wildlife before finally releasing them into the islands’ densely-packed jungles. Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu provides a captivating and immersive experience - one that will challenge gamers to think creatively in order to design their own version of Jurassic Park.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I research and implement new gene modifications for my dinosaurs within the Secrets of Dr. Wu campaign?
You must first establish and operate the research facilities on the two new islands. Then, by completing specific contracts and missions, you unlock the ability to research new genetic modifications. These are implemented in the Hammond Creation Lab.
What is the primary function of the "Hybridization" mechanic, and how does it affect gameplay?
Hybridization allows you to create entirely new dinosaur species by combining the genes of existing ones. This is unlocked during the campaign and introduces new challenges, as the resulting hybrids may have unique needs and behaviors that you must manage.
Besides unlocking hybrids, what benefits do the new gene modifications provide to the dinosaurs?
These modifications can enhance various aspects of your dinosaurs, like their lifespan, aggression, disease resistance, and environmental adaptability. Experimenting with different combinations is key to success.
How do contracts and missions affect my ability to progress in the Secrets of Dr. Wu campaign?
Completing contracts from different divisions (Science, Security, Entertainment) is crucial for unlocking research, resources, and access to new genetic modification options, and to progress the story.
Can I reverse or undo genetic modifications made to a dinosaur?
Yes, you can often revert a dinosaur's genome back to its original state, but this may require specific resources and may not always be possible, especially with hybrid dinosaurs.
What are the unique challenges associated with the new islands introduced in this expansion?
The new islands feature unique environments and challenges. One island requires you to contain breakouts in a restricted environment, while the other island's design focuses on research and experimentation.
How does dinosaur comfort and social needs change when using gene modifications?
Hybrid and modified dinosaurs can have drastically different comfort requirements. Some may need specific enclosure types, different social group sizes, or particular environmental conditions to thrive.
What role does the 'Dr. Wu' character play in the Secrets of Dr. Wu campaign?
Dr. Wu guides you through the storyline, providing you with tasks and insights into the genetic engineering process, and offering opportunities to research modifications, while also posing moral and ethical questions.
How does the 'Hammond Creation Lab' function within the gameplay loop?
The Hammond Creation Lab is where you access and apply all the genetic modifications you research. It's the central hub for creating new dinosaurs and managing their genetic makeup.
What is the consequence of failing the contracts in the Secrets of Dr. Wu campaign?
Failure to complete contracts can lead to a loss of reputation with the sponsoring divisions, hindering your access to new research and resources, ultimately slowing down your progress and the story.
