FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: What is the primary benefit of strategically placing 'Haste Nodes' in the game?
Haste Nodes allow you to create temporary zones of accelerated time for your units, enabling faster attacks, movement, and ability cooldowns within their radius. This is crucial for overwhelming enemies or escaping dangerous situations.; How does the 'Temporal Echo' ability fundamentally alter combat encounters?
Temporal Echo creates a phantom copy of a unit that repeats its last few actions after a short delay. This allows for complex flanking maneuvers, doubled damage output, or setting up devastating combo attacks with your main units.; Explain the risk/reward dynamic of the 'Overclock' mechanic for units.
Overclocking temporarily boosts a unit's stats significantly but consumes 'Chronal Energy.' If Chronal Energy depletes completely during an Overclock, the unit suffers a severe debuff, potentially becoming useless for a period.; What role do 'Chronal Rifts' play in map control and resource acquisition?
Chronal Rifts periodically spawn, offering a concentrated burst of Chronal Energy to the player who can capture and hold the area around them. Controlling these rifts is vital for sustaining your advanced temporal abilities.; How does the 'Time Dilation Field' interact with enemy projectiles and abilities?
The Time Dilation Field slows down incoming projectiles and enemy abilities that enter its area of effect, giving your units more time to react, dodge, or counter-attack. It's a defensive tool that can also disrupt enemy formations.; What is the significance of 'Paradox Units' and how are they different from standard units?
Paradox Units are special units created by exploiting temporal anomalies. They often have unique abilities that bend the rules of time, such as rewinding their own health or creating localized time loops, but they are typically more expensive to produce.; How can players manage their 'Chronal Energy' reserves effectively throughout a match?
Players must balance the use of Chronal Energy-consuming abilities with actively capturing Chronal Rifts and utilizing passive regeneration. Early game focus is on map control for rifts, while late game involves efficient use during major engagements.; Describe the strategic implications of 'Causal Chains' in unit upgrades and abilities.
Certain unit upgrades and abilities are locked behind Causal Chains, meaning you must research or acquire specific prerequisite temporal effects or technologies first. This encourages a focused build path and rewards long-term strategic planning.; What unique challenges do 'Temporal Anomalies' present on the battlefield?
Temporal Anomalies are random events that can drastically alter the battlefield, such as sudden bursts of accelerated or slowed time in specific zones, or spawning hostile temporal echoes. Players must adapt quickly to these unpredictable environmental shifts.; How does the game's pacing inherently encourage aggressive, tempo-based gameplay?
The core mechanics, like Haste Nodes and Overclocking, are designed to reward proactive play and maintaining momentum. Falling behind in temporal advantage can lead to a cascading loss, pushing players to constantly seek opportunities to accelerate their efforts.
