Doloc Town is a cozy pixel-art farming simulator set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, blending survival, crafting, and exploration in a 2D side-scrolling world. You play as a young girl revitalizing a desolate land, building a farm from scratch in a sanctuary crafted from train wreckage and collapsed bridges. Tend crops, craft tools, and construct buildings while shielding your farm from extreme weather like acid rain and heatwaves. The game’s tech tree unlocks advanced items, from planters to drones, enhancing your farming and combat capabilities.

Exploration is key, with intricate valleys, wetlands, and ruins hiding relics and treasures. Engage with quirky townsfolk to uncover the town’s secrets and the legacy of its lost leader, Ponka. The narrative weaves a heartfelt story through main quests and side missions, enriched by charming dialogue and animated cutscenes. Combat, aided by customizable drones, pits you against robotic enemies, adding action to the cozy vibe. Fishing, cooking, and crafting deepen the gameplay, while a dynamic weather system challenges your resourcefulness.

The pixel-art visuals are vibrant, with detailed environments and expressive characters, complemented by upbeat music and immersive sound effects. Though early access, Doloc Town offers over 20 hours of content, with a polished main loop and Steam Deck compatibility.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 'Symbiotic Harvesting' mechanic affect the resource gathering rates within the Doloc biome?
Symbiotic Harvesting accelerates resource acquisition by 15% when specific plant and animal combinations are present within a 5-meter radius in the Doloc biome. This effect stacks up to twice if two valid combinations are in range.
Can I permanently 'tame' a 'Gloomshroom' to act as a permanent resource generator, and what are the limitations?
No, Gloomshrooms cannot be permanently tamed. They have a lifespan and a specific diet. Successfully harvesting resources from a Gloomshroom requires understanding its life cycle and environmental needs.
If my 'Tidewalker' is afflicted with 'Coral Rot,' how does this impact its ability to traverse the tidal zones, and what's the treatment?
Coral Rot significantly reduces the Tidewalker's speed in tidal zones. The affliction can be cured by applying a 'Lumin Essence' which must be extracted from the 'Glimmering Kelp' found in the deepest tidal pools.
How does the 'Echo Bloom' mechanic interact with the creation of 'Resonance Crystals' in the 'Crystalline Caves'?
Echo Blooms, when placed correctly, amplify the sounds of crystal growth within the Crystalline Caves, making the creation of Resonance Crystals 20% faster. Different blooms affect various crystal types differently.
Explain the mechanics of 'Relic Foraging' and how it is affected by the player's 'Dune Runner' speed?
Relic Foraging is a timed minigame where players navigate their Dune Runner to uncover buried relics. The Dune Runner's speed affects the time limit: faster speeds provide a shorter time to find the relics, requiring more precise maneuvering.
What is the relationship between the 'Sunstone Compass' and navigating the 'Mirage Desert'?
The Sunstone Compass is essential for navigating the Mirage Desert. It guides players through shifting sands and reveals hidden oases, as well as protecting you from the 'Sand Wraith' effect that slows movement.
Can I use multiple 'Whisper Weavers' to accelerate the crafting of a single 'Aetherium Artifact,' and how does it work?
Yes, using multiple Whisper Weavers simultaneously accelerates artifact crafting by 10% per Weaver, up to a maximum of 30%. They work in tandem by channeling energy from the 'Whispering Woods.'
How does the 'Celestial Alignment' affect the efficacy of 'Astral Infusions' on weapons?
Celestial Alignment, a periodic in-game event, enhances the power of Astral Infusions by 25% during its active phase. The specific alignment type determines which weapon types benefit the most.
What specific resources are required to repair the 'Sky Serpent' after taking damage from 'Cloud Serpent' attacks?
Repairing the Sky Serpent requires 'Cloudweave' obtained from defeating Cloud Serpents, alongside 'Aerogel,' a resource found in high-altitude zones.
How does the 'Shadow Bloom' mechanic change the risk/reward in the 'Twilight Marsh'?
Shadow Blooms create temporary zones of increased resource yield in the Twilight Marsh but also attract more aggressive 'Gloomstalkers.' The longer the bloom stays, the higher the Gloomstalker spawn rate.
