I've been playing this saga since its inception and it pains me to say how disappointing this version is. I tried to ignore the comments about the interface and let my own opinion form over time, well I've formed it and it's not good. Well, I've formed it and it's not good. In the end, I end up hitting continue over and over again, which completely ruins the fun. I can't recommend this game. It's better to stick with the previous versions and update the databases. Honestly, I don't think I'll buy another one if this is the case. This is the first time I feel the need to write a review and it's to not recommend a saga that I've always loved.

Obviously, it's not as complete as the 24, which was the culmination of the formula on their old engine. Having said that, I wouldn't say it's a disaster. I find the new UI more attractive and smarter in some respects, even if I still get lost in it a lot. I can't say whether I'm confused because it's badly designed or because I'm too used to the old menus, although I'm leaning towards the second option - it's hard to undo years of habits, especially as I used to play with skins close to the basic UI.

Frankly, Football Manager 26 is an absolute blast! As a student, it's clearly my escape between classes. The game is even more realistic than its predecessors, whether in terms of matches, player reactions or even press conferences: you really get the impression of experiencing soccer from the inside.

The tactical innovations are an incredible addition that brings a whole new experience. It offers unprecedented tactical freedom in the genre. It allows you to experience making difficult tactical decisions in every match. However, the user interface is a major setback. It is slow and clunky. At least it's pleasing to the eye, right? Information and different areas of the game are hidden after 10 to 15 clicks, which can slow down gameplay.

Yes, the game isn't as good because of little bugs or menus that can't be found, but Sports Interactive has taken a gamble. The big news is the ball-less tactics, which bring greater clarity to tactics. There's a whole host of possible solutions, and that's what a (true) fan/coach is looking for when playing this game. A pleasure to be back with FM

Frankly, Football Manager 2026 is a mixture of hype and frustration. You can feel that Sports Interactive wanted to start afresh, but the results are mixed. The match engine is more fluid, tactical transitions are finally believable, and post-match analyses really give the impression of being a real coach. But then, the interface... what a pain! We spend more time looking for where to click than planning our tactics. And some of the menus and functions we loved before have disappeared, without explanation. Bugs and minor slowdowns don't help either. In short, FM26 has good ideas and potential, but it feels like a beta version released a little too early. For newcomers, it's still fun and accessible, but for veterans, it's a step backwards. Personally, I'll keep playing, because soccer is soccer... but I'm hoping for a big patch soon, otherwise back to FM24.

After the cancellation of FM25, it was hoped for a true revival. Instead, FM26 feels like a rushed release. Despite the new Unity engine, everything seems poorly optimized: frequent bugs, slow menus and a confusing, clunky interface. The game lacks sophistication, as if the priority was more about catching up than delivering a stable product. While the basics are there, the lack of fluidity, AI problems and overall feeling of shoddy work make it difficult to find the usual fun of the series. FM26 deserved a few extra months of development to reach its full potential

The game is fun and different, though perhaps not as much as FM24 due to its unpolished interface. Everything works, but the interface feels slow and forces you to deal with unwanted situations (like going through your staff one by one and having to select which part of the team you want to see each time). Hopefully these problems will be fixed over time.

Football Manager is a video game series that I have always enjoyed and devoted countless hours to. However, the latest installment missed the mark by failing to encompass what many fans really want. The developers attempted to simplify the game, making it more accessible to new players, but in doing so they removed some of the depth and functionality that made it special. Instead of improving the experience, the game feels more like an outdated tablet version from years ago. Although creating a simpler version is good, it should not be the main goal, especially considering that the series is known for its detailed managerial gameplay. Many important details and options are now hidden under multiple menus and pop-ups, making navigation frustrating. It often takes too many clicks to find what you are looking for, a marked departure from previous versions. This worries me for the future of the series

Honestly, I prefer the old Football Manager design. The new FM26 design seems to require too many clicks to find something simple. Everything now involves more steps; before it was straightforward and intuitive. I don't understand why they had to change the whole design when the previous one had very few bugs. It was enough to update the match engine, no need to redesign the whole interface. I hope they rectify some things
