Activision reveals Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

The last few months have been rife with rumors, leaks, and controversy about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Every new installment in one of the most popular FPS series of all time is eagerly awaited by millions of players, and this one is no different. The hype levels went through the roof when the first teaser of the game was revealed a few days ago, and the culmination of such process was the gameplay reveal of the game in Warzone during an event that took place yesterday. If you don't play the free-to-play version of Call of Duty or missed the event, you can check out the full video below.

Many novelties

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will feature a campaign that continues the story in Modern Warfare II, with Captain Price and Task Force 141 trying to stop Vladimir Makarov from immersing the world into chaos. Sledgehammer Games has added new Open Combat Missions to the campaign, which you can complete in a variety of ways and feature multiple approaches. The idea is to let the players enjoy the game however they want to.

On the multiplayer side, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III promises to deliver the largest collection of maps ever displayed in the series, including many favorites for the fans from previous installments which have been rebuilt from scratch for this game. Plenty of improvements alongside new and exciting features, like a new Tactical Stance, the largest map ever created for Zombies mode, the return of map voting, and enhanced responsiveness, are just the icing on the cake for a new Call of Duty.

Not much has been said about the controversy regarding the possibility of using items unlocked in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in the new game. Some players were complaining about the new installment possibly being just "an expensive expansion" instead of a full game. The gameplay reveal has probably made many of them reconsider their opinion.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will launch on November 10 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The best prices to get your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 CD key will be in our comparator ahead of release.
