Modern Warfare III is available via the Game Pass

It's been in the rumour mill for a while but now we have an official confirmation for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III joining Microsoft's Game Pass service. You can officially now access the latest installment released in the popular first-person shooter series without having to pay a dime for it. Of course, you need to have an active subscription to Game Pass to download the game and play it but at least the service is not yet subject to the price increase that was announced recently.

This adjustment in the price of the Game Pass has generated a big controversy as it comes alongside new tiers for the service that will leave out the possibility to access day-one releases. Many players consider that this price increase is caused by Microsoft's purchase of Activision/Blizzard and the addition of some of its most relevant games to the service, namely Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 which will be included in some of the new and more expensive versions of the Game Pass when it's released on October 24, 2024.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is now the first title in the franchise to be playable via Game Pass and it will be followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Therefore, it's likely that playing new Call of Duty games on day one via Microsoft's paid service is something that we can take for granted.
