ARC Raiders update 1.36.0 is great news for solo and squad players

ARC Raiders gets smarter matchmaking in its new live update
Updates & Patches

ARC Raiders has rolled out its latest Live Update 1.36.0, and this one is more than a tiny “we moved one rock and fixed a hat” patch. Embark has packed in matchmaking changes, fresh progression goals, Expedition rewards, bug fixes, and another step toward cleaner raids.

Solo, duo, and trio runs finally get their own matchmaking track

The headline feature is separate matchmaking tracking for Solo, Duo, and Trio rounds. In simple Raider language: the game now pays attention to how you play in each squad size separately. So, if you are a peaceful loot goblin while playing solo, but your trio turns into chaos gremlins the second PvP starts, those two styles should no longer confuse the matchmaking system. Solo, Duo, and Trio now each have their own tracking, making the jump between chill questing and full-send firefights feel smoother.

The update also arrives alongside Trials Season 5: Prove Your Mettle, giving players a fresh batch of objectives to grind through. Expect challenges built around damaging specific ARC enemies with certain weapons, surviving Pop explosions, and proving that your loadout is not just decorative backpack fashion. The big cosmetic prize this season is the Scorta outfit, with extra rewards like the Green Bruiser backpack, Pressure Gauge charm, Hydraulic Pump attachment, and Come at me emote waiting for Raiders who push hard enough.

Expedition 4 is another big part of this update cycle. The Fourth Expedition brings the first step of the Zenith Outfit, more stash space, and a changed reward structure for fourth-time Expedition players. Instead of earning Skill Points from the Expedition Challenge, players can now grab temporary Blueprints and permanent Raider Tokens. Basically, the game is saying: “Here, have some new tools, now please go outside and get shot by robots responsibly.”

Embark has also shared a fair play update, confirming that Denuvo Anti-Cheat is now enforced for all players. The team says it is continuing to improve cheat detection, fight item duplication, compensate players affected by cheaters, and look at expanding the experimental No Free Loadout rules to more map conditions. Nobody likes losing good loot to nonsense, so this is a welcome cleanup push.

With smarter matchmaking, new seasonal goals, Expedition rewards, and tougher anti-cheat efforts, ARC Raiders is looking healthier Topside.
