ASUS announces new ROG Flow Z13-KJP and Kojima Productions gaming gear

At CES 2026, ASUS grabbed attention by unveiling a special edition of the ROG Flow Z13 laptop called the ROG Flow Z13-KJP. This product stems from a collaboration between the Republic of Gamers brand and Kojima Productions, the studio led by renowned game developer Hideo Kojima. The design of the device draws direct inspiration from the hit game Death Stranding and the studio's mascot, Ludens.

Yoji Shinkawa, the art director and mechanical designer behind the Death Stranding series, crafted the overall look of the ROG Flow Z13-KJP. Its exterior features a striking combination of black and gold, exuding a robust military and utilitarian aesthetic. The back of the device is made from carbon fiber, showcasing precisely cut edges around the heat vents, accompanied by small caution texts reminiscent of in-game equipment warnings.

Another standout element is the included accessories, which come with a transport case designed to resemble the iconic cargo boxes used by the character Sam Bridges. Additionally, ASUS revamped the detachable keyboard, incorporating a vibrant key layout and eye-catching yellow function keys to complement the overall design.

In terms of specifications, this special edition maintains hardware parameters that are identical to the standard version released last May. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor housing a 50 TOPS NPU and AMD Radeon 8060S graphics. Importantly, the device supports up to 128 GB of RAM and is equipped with a 1 TB SSD. The display measures 13.4 inches and offers a 2.5K resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) with a 180Hz refresh rate.

Alongside the laptop, ASUS intends to launch matching accessories, including the ROG Keris II Origin mouse, ROG Delta II headphones, and an ROG Scabbard mouse pad featuring a gold Kojima Productions logo. As of now, ASUS has yet to disclose the official price or release date for the ROG Flow Z13-KJP. Nevertheless, with a test configuration estimated to cost over 2,000 USD, this limited edition is expected to carry a significantly higher price tag and appeal to collectors.
