FBC: Firebreak specs announced - Low demands for PC players

Remedy Entertainment has officially revealed the minimum and recommended PC specifications for FBC: Firebreak, the upcoming co-op action shooter set in the Control universe. Slated for launch on June 17, the game is shaping up to be an accessible experience for a wide range of players, thanks to surprisingly modest hardware requirements.

System Requirements on PC

According to Remedy, FBC: Firebreak is optimized for performance, and even entry-level gaming rigs will be able to handle it comfortably. At the minimum, players will need a system running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU, and 16 GB of RAM. On the graphics front, a GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600 XT with 6 GB of VRAM is enough to achieve 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, provided the settings are on Low and upscaling is set to Quality.

For a smoother and sharper experience, Remedy recommends a slightly more robust setup. This includes an Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, paired with a GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT. These specs aim to deliver solid performance at 1440p resolution and 60 FPS on Medium settings with upscaling still playing a central role.

For enthusiasts seeking high-end visuals, Remedy has also outlined configurations targeting 4K resolution. Playing at High settings in 4K will require an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT GPU, while hitting Ultra settings with ray tracing enabled will push the bar to an RTX 4080 or AMD's yet-to-be-released RX 9070 XT, alongside an Intel Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600. Across all performance tiers, the game demands 16 GB of RAM and 30 GB of SSD storage.
