Remedy opens technical test sign-ups for FBC: Firebreak

Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Control and Alan Wake 2, is officially opening the doors to the mysterious halls of the Federal Bureau of Control once again, this time with a new type of experience focused on multiplayer. The developer has announced that registrations are now live for the first technical test of FBC: Firebreak, an upcoming co-op action title set in the ever-shifting universe of Control. The closed test is scheduled to run later this week, giving a select number of players the opportunity to discover all that the game has to offer.

What Is FBC: Firebreak?

FBC: Firebreak is a PvE multiplayer experience that is set in the same universe as Control. Players step into the combat boots of a member of Firebreak, a versatile team tasked with controlling and suppressing paranormal outbreaks ranging from infected anomalies to extradimensional threats and other mind-bending phenomena. While Remedy has not revealed many details about the game, early concept footage and developer interviews hint at fast-paced, squad-based combat, specialized equipment, and dynamic, environment-based storytelling. FBC: Firebreak is a standalone cooperative experience for up to three players that pits your team against otherworldly threats and interdimensional chaos.

Fans can sign up right now through the dedicated official website for the closed technical test that will take place from May 15th to 19th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The purpose of this test phase is to test the servers and gather feedback on core mechanics ahead of the game's launch on June 17th.
