Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC

Exclusivity deals don't seem to be as firm as they were on PlayStation consoles, at least when it comes to the Final Fantasy series. It turns out that we will finally be able to play Final Fantasy XVI on PC, and that is quite significant news if we consider that the game has been exclusive to PlayStation consoles for just a few months. In May, Square Enix anticipated a much longer wait until the port was ready, and now we finally have an official confirmation on this matter. Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida has revealed that the PC version of the game is already in the works alongside two new story DLCs for the game.

Expansions incoming

Back in the day, Final Fantasy games were more of a standalone experience with no DLC, but Square Enix has changed their format and we are now used to seeing modifications made to them. Whether it's in the form of sizeable updates or paid DLC. Final Fantasy XVI is following that pattern and it recently received the addition of new customization options in the Update 1.10. The two DLcs announced by Naoki Yoshida will allow players to further explore Valisthea's mysteries and lore. The producer has not revealed any details about them, but he has recognized that the reason behind their launch is the will of a community that wants a deeper immersion in the new world.

We will have more news on the upcoming DLCs for Final Fantasy XVI before the year ends and hopefully a release date for the PC version too. It's quite likely that you won´t be able to visit Valisthea on PC until next year. Maybe PC players could have access to a package including the game and the two new DLCs which would be great for the fans of the series. In any case, you will find the best deals on Final Fantasy XVI PC keys ahead of release on our comparator. If you can't wait, you can always opt for the PS5 version which has been acclaimed by the fans.
