Fire Emblem Engage gets a new 8-minute trailer
Nintendo released a new video for Fire Emblem Engage, the franchise's next game, coming exclusively to Switch next year. Following the tradition of the main RPG series, Engage will feature turn-based tactical combat gameplay, with the video showing off some of the gameplay for battles and missions, including the base Somniel.
You can check out the new Fire Emblem Engage trailer below. Unfortunately, it is only available in Japanese, and no subtitles are available. However, it gives you a good idea of what's to come.
In Fire Emblem Engage, players will have some new mechanics and customization possibilities for their warriors at their disposal. Even in Japanese, the video does an excellent job of visually explaining some game elements, such as combat schemes, classes, and levels of superiority between equipment.
Showcasing plenty of the three-dimensional world available for players to explore in the game, the trailer is a great gateway for new players into the world of Fire Emblem. Gamers must explore the detailed map in search of items and quests and progress through the story to reach even more unlockable areas and locations.
A new feature to Fire Emblem Engage is the addition of Emblems, which will bring back heroes from previous titles to strengthen your units. These legacy heroes will be summoned through magical rings. So far, some of the confirmed legacy heroes are Marth, Celica, and Sigurd.
The franchise continues to be developed by Intelligent Systems. Their last mainline release was Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the best-selling of all Fire Emblems. Its success earned it a spinoff musou named Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
Fire Emblem Engage is the next exclusive game in the series to come to Nintendo Switch, scheduled for release on January 20, 2023. Fans of strategy RPGs can check out our comparator for the best deals in Fire Emblem Engage codes and secure your adventure in the world of Elyos.
