Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition takes PS5 controllers up a notch

Razer launches a luxury PS5 controller with laser-etched glass and TMR tech

Razer is expanding its premium controller lineup with the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a limited-run gamepad designed for PlayStation 5 players. Its standout feature is an unusual transparent exoskeleton that exposes much of the internal hardware, giving the controller a distinctive collector-focused appearance. The design also features a prominent PlayStation button, a Razer logo, and a partially transparent touchpad.

The attention to detail extends beyond its appearance. Razer has constructed the black outer frame from magnesium alloy and applied a nano coating to the internal components to help protect them from debris. The touchpad uses laser-etched glass, while the entire controller weighs just 260 grams, making it lighter than a standard DualSense.

Underneath the distinctive shell, the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition packs several features aimed at competitive players. Its contactless TMR thumbsticks are designed to deliver precise input, while six programmable buttons provide additional control options. These include two claw-grip bumpers and four rear buttons with mouse-click-style switches, allowing players to assign frequently used commands and shortcuts.

Razer has also opted for PBT plastic for the buttons, a material known for its rigidity and durability. Combined with the controller's additional inputs, the hardware is clearly intended for players who want more customization than a standard gamepad provides.

Despite its PlayStation branding, the controller isn't limited to Sony's console. PC gamers may find it particularly appealing thanks to support for Razer's 2,000Hz HyperPolling wireless technology, allowing compatible systems to receive controller input updates up to 2,000 times per second.

As a collector's edition, the package also includes several extras. Buyers get a leatherette carrying case, alternative thumbstick caps, covers for the rear buttons, a wireless dongle, and tools for replacing components. It's also worth mentioning that availability will be extremely limited. Only 1,337 units will be produced, with the number serving as a reference to the internet's old-school "leet" slang.

The Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition launches November 10 for $349.99 / €368.99 / £349.99, available exclusively at Razer.com and select RazerStores. For comparison, the standard Raiju V3 Pro originally launched at $219.99 / €209.99 / £199.99. With its high-end build quality and included collector accessories, this Signature Edition carries a noticeably higher price tag at launch.

The announcement also adds to Razer's recent push into premium gaming accessories, following the Wolverine V4 Pro and the Evangelion EVA-01 limited-edition collection we covered just a few days ago.
