Until Dawn confirmed for PC and PS5

Until Dawn confirmed for PC and PS5

Last week's State of Play left us with some interesting reveals that included several eagerly awaited horror games. According to the announcements, this fall will be awesome for those who love thrilling horror experiences due to the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake and the new Until Dawn. The original version of Until Dawn gratefully surprised many players back in 2015 when it was released by Supermassive Games. The game follows the story of a group of characters who gather for a party in a secluded lodge in the mountains. What promises to be an awesome night will trigger some events that will turn the story into a nightmarish struggle for their own survival. Until Dawn is a narrative story with multiple branches where decisions really matter, much in the line of other games developed by Supermassive, like The Quarry and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, which have caught the eye of a large community.

A first look

The new Until Dawn was announced as a fully remastered version of the previous game, and we could have a first look at its gameplay in a brand new video that you can watch below.

Other than the enhanced graphics, the most significant information coming from the reveal is that Until Dawn will be released next fall for PlayStation 5 and PC. The development of the new version of Until Dawn is in the hands of Ballistic Moon, and it promises to include new locations to explore, collectables, a new music score, and a brand-new third-person camera view for a more immersive experience. However, we will still have to wait a bit more to know all the details.

So far, the reactions to the reveal have been positive although some fans have some doubts about the quality of the graphics and hope to see some improvements ahead of release. In any case, you can rest assured that you will find the best deals to pre-order Until Dawn with our comparator as soon as they are available. Meanwhile, we highly recommend you to check out any of the games in The Dark Pictures Anthology as they offer a similar type of experience. They won't leave you indifferent if you are looking for a good dose of thrilling horror.
