Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel delayed until 2023
Fans of Zelda and the masterpiece Breath of the Wild will have a reason to go into a corner and weep. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel has been delayed until spring 2023. The announcement was made by Nintendo through a video presented by the franchise's producer, Eiji Aonuma.
Aonuma explained that the development team needs more time to "make the game experience something special." He also apologizes to everyone waiting for the sequel. You can watch the video below (subtitled in English):
As the producer points out in the video, the new Zelda will not only feature Link adventuring on the ground. It will also be possible to fly over the skies of Hyrule. There will also be more variety of features and gameplay elements. To add to our anticipation, the video contains some previously unseen scenes from the game. Link holds the Master Sword in one of them, which has probably seen better days.
Breath of the Wild Sequel announcement
Announced at E3 2019, the new Breath of the Wild was slated to arrive on Nintendo Switch later this year, but little information was disclosed. Fans don't even know the sequel's official name - although some rumors claim the game will be called Zelda: Breath of Duality.
The original The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released for Nintendo Switch and Wii U in 2017. The game gave the Zelda franchise a vast open-world to explore, allowing players to conquer the world of Hyrule at their own pace and develop their own solutions. While we can't offer deals for the Wii U, you can check the game deals for Zelda: Breath of the Wild before the sequel hits the shelves. Or, if you've already ventured through Hyrule in this installment of the series, check out the Season Pass, which includes two DLCs, lots of new items, The Trial of the Sword, Master Mode, and a lot more.
