Plot
Players are introduced to Sphinx, the main protagonist. Along with his colleague, Horus, they are given the task of getting the Blade of Osiris back. Their master Imhotep sent them to Uruk, The Land of Darkness, where they will eventually find the Blade. Unfortunately, Horus is attacked by a deadly ray which protects The Castle of Uruk. The same ray also attacks Sphinx while he is retrieving the Blade and trying to escape.
Sphinx also saves the young Prince Tutankhamen of Luxor when his older brother attempts to turn him into an undead mummy. The game focuses on the journey of Sphinx and his strategical way of making the impossible tasks become possible.
IGN gave Sphinx and the Cursed Mummya rating of 8.5/10. This is a challenging and fun game filled with puzzles from beginning to end. The graphics are highly praised by critics as well as the unique characters and the impressive storyline.
