FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: Can I use the environment to my advantage, and how does it work?
Yes, you can. Certain cards allow you to shove enemies into environmental hazards like walls, railings, or even other enemies. This inflicts additional damage or status effects, creating tactical opportunities.; How does the card draw work, and what influences the cards I get?
You draw a hand of cards each turn. Your deck composition is crucial. Cards acquired throughout each run, as well as modifications to existing cards, directly affect the cards available to you in combat.; What is the role of 'Momentum' and how does it affect my actions?
Momentum is a resource gained from successful attacks and actions. It can be spent to play powerful cards or to trigger certain card effects, enhancing their impact. Managing Momentum is crucial for stringing together devastating combos.; Can enemies use cards and what types of behaviors do they have?
Yes, enemies have their own decks and use cards. Enemy behaviors vary greatly. Some focus on defense, others on dealing damage, and some specialize in setting up combos or applying negative status effects.; How do 'Breaks' work in the game, and why are they important?
Each enemy has a Break bar. Dealing enough damage reduces this bar, and when it reaches zero, the enemy is briefly stunned and vulnerable, creating an opening for attacks. Utilizing this mechanic is key to success.; What is the purpose of 'Stance' cards, and how should I use them?
Stance cards modify your defensive or offensive capabilities for a limited time. They can offer damage reduction, increased attack power, or other beneficial effects. Using the right stance at the right time is important for tactical advantage.; How can I modify or upgrade my cards, and what kinds of modifications are possible?
During a run, you can find modifications that enhance your cards. These can include increasing damage, reducing the cost, adding new effects, or changing the card's behavior. These modifications allow for personalized deck builds.; How does positioning affect combat, and how can I manipulate it?
Positioning is critical due to the tight spaces. Some cards are area-of-effect or require specific enemy placement. You can move enemies with Shove cards or use cards that allow you to reposition yourself to maintain an advantage.; What role does 'Discard' play in the game, and how can I manage it?
When you play a card, it is discarded. Some cards allow you to draw more cards or retrieve cards from your discard pile. Managing your discard pile is important for creating card combos and setting up future plays.; How do different 'card synergies' work, and how can I create them?
Certain cards have effects that work well together. Discovering and utilizing card synergies is a key part of the gameplay. For example, cards that apply a status effect like 'Bleed' can be paired with cards that deal bonus damage to bleeding enemies.
