Only your steel and magic can prevent the fall of a kingdom in Live By The Sword: Tactics. A turn-based RPG that is a throwback to games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Live By The Sword puts you in charge of an adventuring party out to stop a conspiracy. After years of war, a kingdom has finally settled into peace and reconstruction. However, a plot is discovered that would hurl the land into chaos and destruction once again. It is up to you and your brave soldiers to put a stop to it. 

Live By The Sword: Tactics features combats on an isometric map where battles are typically 5 versus 5. As with other Tactics-style games, you can choose a class for each of your characters: Alchemist, Archer, Assassin, Brawler, Medic, Warrior, and Wizard. Each class has one innate basic ability with six other abilities for you to choose from. You may only bring four of these abilities into combat, so part of the strategy is choosing which four to use. You will also fight against a clever AI who knows your abilities and will maneuver to avoid them. 

You can fight in the story mode, or compete in ranked and unranked online battles with other players. Finally, you also get tools for creating custom battlefields.
