The latest installment of the Rune Factory series, Rune Factory 4 Special brings back the beloved qualities of the previous slice-of-life RPG and kicks things up a notch. Follow the adventures of your custom character as you are forced to land in the town of Selphia after a bandit attack on your airship. Winding up as the town’s designated ruler, you must now take care of your domain and turn it into a prosperous community.

Create a custom character and have them create a new life in Selphia. You’ll find there’s so much to fill your time with: farming, crafting, fishing, improving the town’s infrastructure, attracting tourists, and more. Enjoy seasonal festivals and contests with the townsfolk. Of course, there will be dungeons for you to explore, monsters to defeat, and treasures to bring back home.

Befriend a charming cast of characters. Get to know their individual backstories, equip them with gear, and even take them with you on quests. Over time, perhaps one of your relationships will deepen into something more. Then you can enter Newlywed Mode and gain access to bonus stories involving you and your spouse.

Finally, the game offers new cutscenes and a remade opening animation. Enjoy the sweet slice-of-life and romance of Rune Factory 4 Special.
