    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the game determine which specific embalming procedure must be followed for each body?
The game uses a combination of factors, including the cause of death (revealed in the paperwork), the body's condition, and the presence of any unique items found during the preparation process. There is no simple solution.
If I fail to correctly identify the demon, what consequences will I face, and how will it affect the gameplay?
Failing to correctly identify the demon can lead to various negative events, including the game's ending. These consequences will significantly impact your sanity, the environment, and the availability of resources.
Can I interact with the environment to gain clues, or is the gameplay limited to the embalming room?
Yes, you can interact with certain environmental elements like drawers, shelves, and other objects to discover clues, find items, and progress the story. Some items will be crucial for the identification process.
How does the game use the tools found in the embalming room beyond the basic procedures?
Certain tools may have hidden purposes or be required for specific rituals or investigations related to the demonic presence. Some tools may be used to interact with clues within the environment.
What is the purpose of the phone, and how can it impact my gameplay experience?
The phone serves as a means of communication with external characters and can provide critical hints, warnings, or further the narrative. The calls can be crucial for understanding the situation and surviving the night.
Does the game offer a hint system or any form of guidance regarding demon identification?
There is no built-in hint system, but clues are scattered throughout the game. Close observation, thorough investigation, and careful use of the available resources are essential for survival.
How does my interaction with each body affect the overall game progression and the demonic activity?
Each body you work on and the steps you take during the embalming procedure can influence the intensity of the paranormal activity, the clues you uncover, and the specific demon encountered.
Are the clues randomized each playthrough, or are they static?
The game utilizes a combination of static and randomized elements. Certain clues and events will always occur in the same way, while others will be randomized to increase replayability.
Is there a limit to how many mistakes I can make during the embalming procedure before the game ends?
While there isn't a hard limit, making mistakes during the embalming process or misinterpreting the clues can escalate the demonic activity, leading to increasingly dangerous situations and ultimately, a negative outcome.
How do the various endings differ from each other?
The endings are determined by the choices you make, the demons you identify, and the actions you take throughout the game. Each ending provides different insights into the story, the characters, and the nature of the demonic presence.
