Sonic Superstars is a 2D platform game that tries to recreate the classic style of the saga with 3D graphics, new powers and four-player cooperative. The levels are varied and have some original details, but they are also very linear and unchallenging. The Chaos Emeralds powers are fun to use, but don't add much to the gameplay. The story mode has three campaigns that become repetitive and the battle mode is anecdotal.

The old sonic style games are still great, they always give you that nostalgic feeling which is incredible.

Always a pleasure to have something new for Sonic, old-school gameplay that looks good, graphics are pretty nice... Can't wait to try it out!

The graphics are not those of a game from 2023 but rather from 2013, and even then... There's virtually no innovation, just the same gameplay as 20 years ago, but it costs 50€.

A revisited "return to the great classics", eagerly awaited by fans. It won't renew the saga like Frontiers did, but will it at least be on the same level as the old ones?

Another disappointment for Sonic... the game is too ugly, the "new zones" are the same as on the megadrive but with different names, the game takes 4 hours to finish, the camera is zoomed all the way in on the character so we sometimes jump blind, the co-op is only local and the camera can't keep up with 2 players (so with 4...). The only positive point is the ost, but we're used to that with Sonic games... Released almost at the same time as Mario Wonder, it's a real shame...

It's a pity that the game's specifications impose all-out multiplayer (apart from co-op), because I think this Sonic Superstars could have been even better if it had focused 100% on single-player. The single-player is far too short, and I'd recommend the game to those who've already played Sonic Mania, otherwise I'd recommend the latter over this one.

Very fast-paced and technically well-crafted game. It's a pleasure to watch the blue hedgehog hurtle at full speed through the typical colorful world that distinguishes the series. A welcome surprise

Very good move by a Sonic Team that has managed to offer the sensations that veteran fans wanted, but with modern incentives and features. It shines almost as much as a Chaos Emerald.
