Assassin's Creed Mirage will launch earlier than expected

Even though we are used to seeing delays in the release of video games as it's a common occurrence, the opposite can happen too, albeit very rarely. Ubisoft seems to be eager to launch the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series and it has moved forward the release of Assassin's Creed Mirage. The fans of the iconic action-adventure series will be able to join Basim in a new experience that will delve deeper into the secrets and the origins of the Assassin's Brotherhood.

Earlier does not mean incomplete

The original release date for Assassin's Creed Mirage was October 12, 2023, but in a quite unexpected move, the developer changed it to October 5, 2023. In the grand scheme of things, this should not have any impact on the development or performance of the game. Ubisoft has canceled several projects this year and stated that it was focusing on delivering a good experience with its major franchises. Since Assassin's Creed is one of the most important ones, it's presumable that the game will be in a very good state at launch, even though it could be subject to future post-launch minor fixes and updates.

Assassin's Creed Mirage will be a smaller and more intimate experience, therefore, launching the game without big issues should be a cake for a publisher that has already delivered much bigger games, like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Also, the footage shown so far seems to be of very good quality. In any case, we will have to wait until October to find out if Ubisoft has nailed it with the game or not.
