Atomic Heart 's first DLC has been announced

Atomic Heart caught the eye of many players when it was announced due to its unique art style and exciting gameplay mechanics. The possibility of exploring an alternative world where the Soviet Union has become the world's leading country in technology and robotics after the Second World War leading to an age of prosperity looks good at first glance. It's definitely more interesting when have to deal with a rebellion of robotics servants that have gone haywire and started killing all humans to perform devious biomechanical experiments on them.

In Atomic Heart, you take the role of a government special agent in charge of finding out what's behind all this, and as soon as you arrive at your destination you start thinking that it may be too much for you. The game offers you exciting gameplay mechanics and brutal fights against deranged biomechanical monstrosities, and it hooks you with its intriguing plot and unique atmosphere.

A new DLC and more

Four months after the game's release, developer Mundfish has finally started to reveal the post-launch content for Atomic Heart. The first of the 4 DLC planned for the game has been announced and it will bring quite a few novelties. "Prepare to embark on a journey through the new mind-bending Mendeleev Complex and its surrounding swamps and discover the truth about NORA as Major P-3 is pulled back into Facility 3826. Survive vicious, shape-shifting new enemies and take them down using two cunning new weapons - ranged one the Secateur and melee one the Klusha - as well as your glove’s new Techno-Stasis ability, allowing you to manipulate time itself."

The announcement of the Annihilation Instinct DLC has been accompanied by the release of a free update for Atomic Heart that adds the New Game Plus mode. You can now restart the game keeping all your skill and weapons from your previous save and face the hardest enemies you have ever seen in the game.
