Bayonetta 3 receives two new trailers close to launch
Nintendo has released two new trailers for Bayonetta 3, a Switch-exclusive game that will be released later this month. The new title is being developed by Platinum Games and is a partnership between the two companies, just as they did on Bayonetta 2, originally released for Wii U in September 2014.
The third game in the franchise was announced at the 2017 Game Awards and has been especially anticipated by fans ever since. The preview came out just a few weeks before the game's long-awaited release. The first trailer mainly shows the powerful witches in action, even revealing a bit of gameplay in some parts.
The video description reinforces the fact that Bayonetta 3 will be a journey to different cities on the planet, such as Tokyo and Paris. We will also encounter a virtual coven of Bayonettas, which explains the various versions of the witch we see in this and previous trailers.
Bayonetta 3 introduces new witch, Viola
The video's highlight is the new protagonist, the apprentice witch Viola, who has powerful combat skills and a sword, and the company of a feline demon named Cheshire. She is in a desperate struggle to save reality from a colossal evil but is still inexperienced. This lack of skill will be reflected in her combat style, characterized more by aggressiveness than agility.
The second trailer is a more than five-minute overview of what the player should expect from the adventure in Bayonetta 3. However, it only came out on the Japanese channel of the producer. It's worth checking out the video if you're interested in seeing the flashy combat developed by series creator Hideki Kamiya - also the creator of Devil May Cry.
Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28, 2022. In the mood for a hack 'n slash with the most stylish Umbra Witch in the gaming world? Then check out our comparator for the best deals for Bayonetta 3 CD Keys and get your copy in advance.
