Bayonetta 3 is coming next year

It's real! The announcement was made during yesterday's Nintendo Direct, and the fans of the hack-and-slash video games series couldn't be happier about it. Bayonetta 3 is finally coming next year. It seems that all the pleading from the players and the endless number of requests are bringing back the fan-favorite witch in a new adventure. Platinum Games has finally given us some hope about when we will be able to enjoy the frantic and brutal gameplay of the Bayonetta series in a new game after it was revealed at The Game Awards in 2017. Bayonetta 3 is coming next year, and you can watch its gameplay in a new video.

As you can see in the video, Bayonetta 3 will feature epic fights against colossal monsters and plenty of new gameplay mechanics. Bayonetta will make use of plenty of weapons to lay waste to her enemies, including her iconic gun heels, and she will also be able to summon powerful creatures to fight alongside her. A huge dragon, a gigantic bird of prey and a spider, are some examples of her summons, and they will be able to hold their ground against more formidable enemies without any problem. 

It's undeniable that Bayonetta 3 shows the influence of Hideki Kamiya's work on Devil May Cry. Still, the Bayonetta games have earned a spot in the hearts of the fans by themselves, thanks to their impressive aesthetics, thrilling gameplay, and unique protagonist. It seems that Bayonetta 3 will offer precisely what the fans are waiting for, and that's excellent news.

Bayonetta 3 release

There is no official release date for Bayonetta 3, but the video confirms that the game is coming in 2022, exclusively to Nintendo Switch consoles.
