GTA Trilogy owners on PC are receiving a reward

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has the dubious honor of being one of the worse releases of the years. This remake of the original trilogy includes Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is not up to the standards expected from Rockstar Games in almost any way. The games in the compilation featured a wide range of issues that included typos, visual glitches, and more. The developer had to apologize for releasing the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition in such a state and started the process of trying to fix those problems painstakingly. The process will probably take quite a while if it ever finishes, but the modding community has already started to create modifications that tackle some of the bugs in the game.

Rockstar Games is aware of the negative impact of the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition could have in future games. They are trying to make amends by giving a reward to all those that bought the compilation through the Rockstar Games launcher on PC. Those players are entitled to claim a free game of their choice choosing between Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition, Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3, and Bully: Scholarship Edition. Those that do not want an additional game can claim in-game cash in the form of a Great White Shark Card for GTA Online or 55 Gold Bars for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The gift is a nice compensation for all those that expected to have a much better gaming experience with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. In fact, Rockstar has already fixed many of the problems, and it's also giving the bonus reward to anyone who purchases the compilation until January 5, 2022.
