V Rising explodes in Steam after its launch

V Rising has been available to play in Early Access for quite a long time and the game has changed a lot during this process. Everything is now more polished and there are many more character customization options, enemies, weapons, spells, and exciting in-game features. The quality of the experience has increased greatly for the joy of the fans who have supported the survival open-world from Stunlock Games from the beginning, and they have been rewarded with plenty of novelties with the release of the final 1.0 version of V Rising a few days ago. As expected, this has also brought plenty of new blood to this land ruled by Dracula himself.

A rising tide of darkness

In V Rising, you play as a vampire trying to recover his ancient homeland from the hands of a Holy Order that defeated your kin ages ago and ultimately overthrow the Prince of Darkness, who governs the lands from the shadows. The release of the final version of the game in PC has generated great interest among the fans of the genre and the number of concurrent players in the game was over 70,000 soon after that. While this number is lower than the one achieved by the game when it entered Early Access it's vastly superior to the average number of players that V Rising was gathering lately. This demonstrates that there was a large community waiting to enjoy the game in all of its glory who rushed to discover all that it has to offer in its current form.

Stunlock Studios will continue improving the game in the coming months but the next big stepping-stone for the studio is the future release of a V Rising version for PlayStation 5 consoles. This has been confirmed already but there is no release date for such a version yet. However, it will likely arrive sometime this year. Meanwhile, the PC version of the game should be enough to satisfy those who want to embark on a thrilling blood hunt in a world dominated by humans.
