InXile announces Wasteland 3's first expansion

The life of an Arizona Ranger is not easy in Wasteland 3. The post-apocalyptic role-playing game developed by InXile takes place in the aftermath of a nuclear war that has turned most of the United States territory into a frozen wasteland. Several factions have appeared in the area of Colorado and each of them has its own agenda. The only ones that still believe in law and order are a group of Rangers, and you are part of them. With a thrilling storyline full of action, treachery, and surprises, Wasteland 3 puts you at the head of a group of rangers fighting for survival and to keep order in a territory that suffers an increasing shortage of food and water, and where superior technology and brute force are the most powerful means to achieve your goals in most cases.

Wasteland 3 offers you a classic RPG experience with turn-based combats that will put your tactical skills to the test. As you explore different locations, you will have to decide who you will help and how, and every decision you take will have an impact on the story. Depending on who you side with, the outcome could be very different, but you should be careful when trusting others because things are not simple at all when the circumstances are so extreme.

The game offers you a campaign that lasts for about 50 hours, but developer InXile is about to expand it with a new DLC. Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown is the first expansion for Wasteland 3 and it will add new locations and a new storyline to the game. It will take you and your rangers to Steeltown, the industrial hub that produces most of the technology used in the region, including weapons, robots, armor, and vehicles. This place is under the control of the Patriarch, but it seems that a revolt has turned the place into a mess. You will have to find out what is happening in this place before deciding the course of your actions, which will have quite a meaningful impact on the future of Southwestern Colorado.

Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown will be available on June 3 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
