Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release earlier than expected
In a time where postponements have become the new standard, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has done the total opposite and moved its release in the other direction. Previously slated for September 2022, Monolith Soft's new RPG now comes out July 29th, 2022, exclusively for Switch.
The release date announcement came at the end of a new gameplay trailer. In the same vein as other titles in the series, the player will face enemies directly in the game's open world in a battle system mixed between action RPG and online games. Although there are no turns, characters have a cooldown between each attack.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gameplay details
Each of the playable characters will have its own characteristics in combat, and it is up to you to make the best use of each one to emerge victoriously. As you progress through the game, you will be able to change character classes, allowing you to create a diverse party. Noah is a swordfighter specializing in close-range combat. Mio is of the Zephyr class and can draw enemies' attention while evading their offensive.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will have a new gameplay feature called the "Interlink System" that allows the duo of certain characters - Noah and Mio, Lanz and Sena, Eunie and Taion - to combine if specific requirements are met and become one giant being called Ouroboros. Each Ouroboros has powerful unique abilities and can decide the battle's outcome.
The new Xenoblade epic adventure has "life" as its central theme. We play Noah and Mio amid a turbulent period between the Agnus and Keves nations. Our party members come from these nations and together embark on a quest to discover the truth behind the dispute. To do this, they go to the land of Swordsmarch.
Xenoblade Chronicles is a JRPG franchise that has quickly gained fans worldwide. The early release of the third installment has undoubtedly pleased many eager players.
