    Gathering Storm is the second expansion for Civilization VI, the latest entry in the popular turn-based strategy 4X series developed by Firaxis Games. Gathering Storm includes new geological and meteorological events to make even more challenging the development of your civilization through the ages. The expansion unleashes the forces of nature reflecting the huge impact of a changing planet on your settlements through floods, storms, and even volcanoes. You will have to adapt your cities to survive to those events.

    Climate change and environmental costs will also be important in Gathering Storm, and the use of contaminant of consumable resources could have very serious long-term consequences in the development of your civilization. Of course, new advanced technologies and engineering projects will help you to mitigate all those problems if you manage them properly.

    On the political side, a new form of currency will be implemented. Favor will track your diplomatic goodwill and it serves, among other things, as voting power during a World Congress, where you will be able to approve Resolutions to influence all the player's agendas with positive or negative effects that will be in place until the next World Congress is held. And if you manage to get elected as the world leader, and show enough diplomatic leadership to earn enough points, you will be able to achieve a Diplomatic Victory.

    Civilization VI: Gathering Storm will also include nine new civilizations to the game, each of them with their respective leader, unique building units and abilities, allowing you to take your gameplay to a completely new level.
