For over three centuries, the people of Dahna have lived under the oppressive rule of Rena, a world they once revered as divine and untouchable. Misled by generations of distorted myths, they have endured exploitation, forced labor, and the systematic plundering of their homeland’s resources. In Tales of Arise, the time has come to challenge this entrenched tyranny and uncover the truth behind the legends that have bound two worlds together.

Players will step into the shoes of Alphen, a young Dahnan man who mysteriously feels no pain and carries no memory of his past. Armed with the Blazing Sword, a weapon that sears with fire and power, Alphen embarks on a journey of liberation and self-discovery. Alongside him is Shionne, a courageous and enigmatic girl from Rena cursed with thorns that harm anyone who touches her. Though their alliance begins with personal motives, their intertwined fates ignite a rebellion that will determine the future of both worlds.
