Thedas is a sprawling fantasy world under the constant threat of demonic spawns. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a new chapter in the fan-favourite RPG series from BioWare that allows you to rise as a Rook and become the hero of a new era.

Fearsome dragons, demons from beyond this reality, and dark conspirations have eclipsed the future of Thedas in recent times. However, the appearance of heroes has saved the world from a certain doom countless times. Now, with the world immersed in a brutal conflict, it has become the perfect playground for corrupt gods who seek its demise. In such a scenario, you, the Rook, will rise as a beacon of shining light to save Thedas from destruction in an epic adventure.

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you are not alone. You will meet a colourful cast of characters with exceptional abilities that will help you in your adventure. Take them on challenging missions as you progress through a story where your decisions will determine the future of the world.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard features significant changes compared to previous installments in the series. First of all the game is not set in an open world that you can explore as you please. Instead, the action unfolds in a variety of scenarios created to offer a unique gameplay experience.

The game's third-person action combat is much more focused on your character than ever before in the series. Dynamic action with you at the core will keep you very busy as you try to defeat powerful enemies in combat. Of course, you can bring companions to the fight, but you won't have direct control over their actions like in other Dragon Age games. Instead, Dragon Age: The Veilguard features exciting combo and skill systems that offer you unprecedented flexibility in combat.

As you progress through the game, your aim is to become the leader your companions need. Delving into their personal stories and forging strong relationships with them is the key to a well-oiled group. You can adjust your role in the group by choosing from three classes (Warrior, Mage, and Rogue). Customizing your character with exclusive abilities and different weapons provides you with a wide range of tactical options in combat that get multiplied with the support of your teammates.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers an experience that will change the series forever with exclusive features, a brand-new graphic style, and gameplay options never seen before.

An excellent RPG, even if I preferred the previous opuses, especially Dragon Age Inquisition. But that won't stop me from getting to the end of the adventure!

This new opus offers a fresh perspective on the Veil, the mysterious frontier between the world of the living and that of spirits, which lies at the heart of the universe. Dragon Age: The Veilguard was a bit of a disappointment for me. While I went in expecting the classic Dragon Age magic, the gameplay felt average at best, with repetitive combat mechanics and a lack of the engaging story depth I've come to expect from the series. It felt like the focus was shifted more toward including diverse representation than improving core game mechanics and plot. Although representation is important, it seemed like it took precedence over creating a compelling narrative an

I hope the game will be fun to play and that the story will be good, but after BG3 and Dragon's Dogma 2, I'm going to have to pull out all the stops.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an immersive adventure that boldly renews the franchise's universe. The characters are superbly written, and the plot, rich in twists and turns, pushes the player to explore every nook and cranny of the world. The gameplay is a little slow, but the whole remains captivating.

As you said in your news, the controversy is there, and new players who don't know the license may like it, but old-timers will certainly have a cold shower when they see what the game has become.

A pillar of the modern rpg, dragon age seems to want to casualize too... what motivates games today is profitability, and you can feel it... it's a real shame that this monument has been vandalized by scum in suits.

I have very mixed feelings about this title and even if the scores are correct, I don't like what the game is becoming, either in terms of combat or style. They've swapped out most of the RPG mechanics for action.
