FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

If my Mind's Eye ability reveals a hidden enemy, but I can't directly target them, what strategic options do I have?

You can use the revealed information to set up traps, lure other enemies into ambushes, or exploit environmental weaknesses to indirectly affect the hidden foe.

How does the 'Echo' mechanic of the Mind's Eye interact with dynamic environments, such as collapsing structures or shifting terrain?

The Echo creates a temporary duplicate of the environment. If the original environment changes significantly before the Echo expires, the Echo will not reflect those changes and can be used to your advantage.

Can I use the Mind's Eye to distinguish between illusions and reality within the game world?

Yes, a core function of the Mind's Eye is to penetrate deceptive illusions. It reveals the true nature of objects and entities, exposing hidden pathways or disguised enemies.

What are the limitations, if any, on the range and duration of the Mind's Eye 'Scan' ability?

The 'Scan' ability has a limited range determined by your character's skill level. The duration is also finite, and extended use depletes your 'Focus' resource.

Does the Mind's Eye reveal the movement patterns or predicted paths of enemies?

The Mind's Eye can highlight the recent paths of enemies, and high-level abilities can predict their likely future movements based on their current behavior and environmental context.

How does the 'Focus' resource, used to fuel Mind's Eye abilities, regenerate, and are there ways to enhance its recovery?

Focus regenerates slowly over time. Certain items, abilities, and environmental interactions can significantly accelerate Focus recovery. Resting and meditation also help.

Can the information gleaned through the Mind's Eye be shared with other players in a cooperative setting?

In cooperative play, the information is shared, but the visual manifestation of the information might differ depending on the individual player's skills and their own perspective.

Are there enemies or environments designed specifically to counter the use of the Mind's Eye?

Yes, some enemy types and environmental hazards can actively disrupt or mislead the Mind's Eye, forcing players to adapt their strategies.

How does the game's narrative integrate with the unique mechanics of the Mind's Eye?

The game's story revolves around uncovering hidden truths. The Mind's Eye is the primary tool for revealing these secrets, connecting narrative progression with strategic gameplay.

Is there a penalty for overusing the Mind's Eye, such as temporary blindness or cognitive overload?

Overuse of the Mind's Eye can lead to 'mental fatigue', which slows movement speed and reduces the effectiveness of other abilities until the character rests or recovers focus.
