Warhorse Studios has officially dropped the first paid DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, titled Brushes with Death, and it’s anything but conventional. Launched alongside the free Update 1.3, the expansion brings players face-to-face with a mysterious painter and his strange obsession with death.
The expansion introduces Master Voyta, a tortured artist whose reputation is as smeared as his canvas. Players meet him in a particularly strange predicament in the first stage of a long questline that will take them through several locations. The goal of your mission is to help Votya finish his final masterpiece, but you will discover that there is much more to learn about the artist's story in our journey alongside him. The Brushes with Death DLC is quite accessible, and you don't even need to finish the base game to dive into it.
The DLC also adds a new feature to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Once players unlock Voyta’s workshop, they will be able to customize their shields by applying unique designs, colors, borders, and sigils. The new shield painting system opens up more customization options than ever in the game.
Alongside the DLC, Warhorse has rolled out Update 1.3, bringing significant quality-of-life improvements and gameplay additions:
