Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially crossed another major milestone, selling over 4.4 million copies worldwide. French studio Sandfall Interactive confirmed the achievement during a recent interview with French outlet Clips du lundi, where technical character artist Amandine Marest, producer Benjamin Dimanche, and senior gameplay programmer Florian Torres casually let the figure slip. While the “official” number remains at 3.3 million copies sold in 33 days, Marest bluntly added, “4.4 million,” before the team laughed and admitted the updated total.

Launched on April 24, 2025, the turn-based RPG entered the spotlight as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass, even competing against Bethesda’s heavyweight The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
