Dead by Daylight Launches Update 10.1.0 With New Changes

Dead by Daylight has officially released Update 10.1.0, bringing a new chapter of content along with a wide range of changes for players to discover. This update not only adds new content to The Fog, but also includes adjustments to several of the game's familiar systems. Behaviour Interactive has also dedicated a significant portion of the update to changes made after the PTB, showing that 10.1.0 has more to offer than what players may notice at first glance.

A new chapter awaits

The main highlight of 10.1.0 is Chorus of Sin, a new chapter that takes players into another story within The Fog. The Judgment joins the Trial as the new Killer, wielding Will of the Gods and a gameplay system built around Divine Light, Heresy, Zealous, and Exile. These mechanics not only introduce new ways for the Killer to hunt Survivors, but also bring several new elements into the survival experience during each Trial.

Facing The Judgment is Aurora, the new Survivor equipped with three perks: Fruits of your Labor, Salvation's Cry, and Boon: Steadfast. However, the most notable part of Chorus of Sin is not simply the addition of two new characters. The chapter was developed with community involvement, offering a different approach to how Dead by Daylight creates new content and stories.

Alongside these new characters, the update also adjusts a number of familiar perks for both Killers and Survivors. Notable changes include A Nurse's Calling, Call of Brine, Coulrophobia, Sprint Burst, Deliverance, Vigil, Adrenaline, and Technician, while Unhook Protection has also been adjusted.

Update 10.1.0 also introduces several system-level changes. A new Gameplay Showcase allows players to learn about a Killer's power through descriptions and demonstration videos, while the Matchmaking Button has been updated. The Hook Timer has also been split into two bars, and MMR calculations have been changed to take more actions into account during each Trial.

And that's still not everything Behaviour Interactive has included in this update. 10.1.0 also features several changes made after the PTB, adjustments specifically for The Judgment, improvements to Survivor Bots, as well as fixes for issues affecting maps, characters, perks, the UI, and more.
