Arkane has been a bit vague about the story background in Redfall. Yes, we know the vampires have dominated the island, and obscured the Sun, turning the once-beautiful place into the perfect hunting ground for the bloodsuckers. But the origins of such a threat were a bit unclear. Now, we can finally know more details about all this. Thanks to the release of the story trailer, we can learn a bit more about the vampires and how they arrived at Redfall. A light in the darkness

In Redfall, the vampires are the product of some weird experiments performed by the Aevun corporation. The desire for immortality made scientists go beyond the barriers of logic and experiment with blood, life, and death. The result was the creation of powerful creatures with a thirst for human blood, who progressively turned the island of Redfall into Hell on Earth. First, strange disappearances occurred on the island, but these soon gave way to more strange events. Ultimately, the Sun went dark and the vampires made the island their territory. Now, the few people left that are not criminals or mad cultists that venerate the bloodsuckers like gods, fight to survive and learn the truth behind all this, while hoping to restore Redfall to its former self.

Redfall is the new cooperative first-person shooter from Arkane Studios. In the game, you can take on an exciting campaign as a survivor that will pit you against a legion of vampires and other threats. You have four different characters to choose from, each with unique abilities and weaponry. As you progress through the game, you can modify their capabilities to fit your preferred playstyle.
