THQ Nordic has released an extended gameplay of Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, featuring almost ten minutes of gameplay. The segment, narrated by developers, follows the hero on an enhanced journey — both visually and mechanically. The video showcases how Mickey will use his painting ability to bring color back to the world. To do this, he not only has to wield the magic brush but also face off against threats that have turned Wasteland into a gray and hostile setting.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will feature changes in perspective, alternating between side-scrolling platformer style and 3D adventure. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake of Epic Mickey, initially released for the Wii in 2010. The game sends Mickey Mouse on a journey through Wasteland, a realm of forgotten Disney characters. As Mickey, players will dive into a fantastic world, armed with paint and thinner, shaping their adventure and the fate of this alternate world. While roaming this world, players will meet various iconic characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first creation, among others. Collect virtual Disney pins, take on creative challenges, and uncover secrets, all while exploring classic platforming levels inspired by films and animated shorts.

The original game was produced by Warren Spector, creator of titles like the original System Shock and a consultant on Underworld Ascendant. Spector returns to help Purple Lamp reimagine Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. The remake features cutting-edge visuals, improved controls, and a user interface adapted to breathe new life into this beloved classic.
