After years of speculation, Escape from Tarkov is officially making its way to consoles. Battlestate Games confirmed the long-requested port in a recent video recap from the Tokyo Game Show 2025, alongside announcements about upcoming DLC and additional projects set within the game’s expanding universe.

Tarkov’s Console Era Begins

Battlestate Games’ COO, Nikita Buyanov, briefly confirmed that a console version of Escape from Tarkov is in development — a statement that surprised many after his earlier jokes dismissing the idea. No specific release date or platforms were revealed, but it’s safe to assume PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will be the first to receive it.
