Frostpunk 2 reveals its post-launch roadmap

Developer 11 Bit Studios had great success with Frostpunk and now its sequel is following the same path. The first game offered a thrilling experience focused on managing the survival of a whole city and its citizens under extreme cold weather. Meanwhile, Frostpunk 2 follows the logical evolution and puts you in charge of that same city years later. The cold weather continues to be a pressing matter but this time you also have to deal with a council formed by different factions, each with their own agenda. The sequel features a much more complicated political background where you have to forge allies and negotiate every one of your moves, while still dealing with unexpected situations, extreme conditions, and new types of problems.

Post-launch content

Frostpunk 2 was released on September 20th and the developer studio has focused on fixing bugs and polishing the game with several updates. Now, it's finally time to look into the future and prepare to release additional content, which is pretty much what happened with the original Frostpunk and its expansions The Last Autumn, On The Edge, and The Rifts. 11 Bit Studios has revealed the official roadmap for Frostpunk 2, which includes plenty of content to be released throughout next year.

Frostpunk 2 will receive three DLCs, but also several free major content updates that will feature exciting novelties. Also, the game will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in early 2025. Also, it's been confirmed that Frostpunk 2 will be available via Game Pass for all those subscribed to Microsoft's service. We will know more details about the content in the coming months but it will surely take the gameplay experience in Frostpunk 2 to a superior level with new scenarios, features and improvements.
