Frostpunk 2 officially opens the door to modding

Building on the significant success of Frostpunk, developer 11 bit studios will release its sequel this month. Frostpunk 2 promises to be another apocalyptic survival experience in the shape of a city builder, but it will focus on the next step in the chain of events that players could experience in the first title. Frostpunk 2 introduces new ways of immersing in its universe beyond the campaign, with a sandbox mode called Utopia Builder that is free from the constrictions of the story. Also, 11 bit studios has confirmed that the game will officially support modding with the announcement of Frostkit, the official modding tool for Frostpunk 2.

FrostKit will be available in its beta version when Frostpunk 2 is released on September 20.
