Frostpunk 2: Return to the ice-covered northlands where even people’s hearts freeze. It’s been 30 years since the events of the first game, and now the age of steam is over. Oil is the newest resource to be exploited for power, and where there’s an ounce of power to be had, you can be sure politics will follow.

The original Frostpunk is a city builder and survival game all in one. A never-ending winter has crippled the Earth, and with food and other resources depleted, people have fled to the frozen north to follow the promise of salvation: coal. But with the harsh climate still ongoing, more energy is needed. People are now turning to oil, and as the leader of a city besieged by the cold, you must lead the oil extraction industry to search for as much of it as you can. But change won’t come easy, especially with groups with vested interests in the old ways.

You must meet the needs and demands of various factions to retain power. Will you follow a moral path, or will you employ draconian measures to meet your goals? Will your people unite under you, or will you need to force them to do your bidding? Frostpunk 2 will not only give a higher level of gameplay compared to its predecessor, but it will also test your values against the need to survive.

I played the first one, and this game is probably very good for many, but being a sucker for management games I didn't manage to enjoy it as much as others, and I would have appreciated having more options available in the choice of laws. Still, visually, narratively and technically, this game is truly impeccable, and I liked it enough to want to play the sequel when it becomes available.

fantastic game, there are few criticisms that can be made, compared to the first is a whole different thing ... the only real flaw for me is the difficulty that seems a little too high
