IO Interactive is fixing transfer problems in Hitman 3

As you already probably noticed if you are playing Hitman 3 on PC, it's not currently possible to transfer Hitman 2 levels into the game. That is one of the features that the game actually has and it's working without any problem on consoles. The issue with Hitman 3 on PC comes from the exclusivity deal between IO Interactive and Epic Games for the release of the game. The PC version of Hitman 3 is only available at Epic Games Store but there are quite a few players that already own the previous installments in the World of Assassination series on Steam. Obviously, transferring the data from one platform to another is not an easy thing to do, especially if we take into account the huge rivalry between both of them. 

This problem was detected a couple of days ahead of Hitman 3 release and IO Interactive was quite fast to address players concerns and promised that they would find a solution that would allow any players who already owned Hitman and Hitman 2 on PC to play the levels from those games on Hitman 3 without having to purchase the games again on Epic Games Store. 

It seems that Hitman 3 creators are delivering what they promised, and the solution for the problem should be coming this month.

Whilst we’ve been busy launching Hitman 3, we’ve also been working on the promised solution for allowing PC players to import locations that they already own into the game on Epic. We’ve got that solution worked out and it’s currently being tested and verified from all angles to make it as robust as possible.

In terms of timing, it’s definitely a case of sooner rather than later. Even with the longest estimates we’ve looked at, the solution will be fully rolled out before the end of February. We’ll keep you updated with the next steps.
