Survival Thriller Pathologic 2 is out to scare you

The creepy trailer says it all – the horror of Pathologic 2 will land on your PC soon.  

Yesterday’s Gearbox Software panel at PAX East 2019 shed light on the release date of Pathologic 2. It’s probably a competition scheme since the game will be released just weeks after A Plague Tale: Innocence, another game with a similar theme.

According to the trailer, Ice-Pick Lodge's Pathologic 2 will be out on May 23rd. The trailer is better than I thought it would be, the creepy background music makes it quite scary. The world has been overrun with a plague and people are either dead or dying. There’s no adult in sight, just empty faces of children walking around, hollow eyes seemingly lost. There’s innocence in them as they try to play the games that they must have played before the plague. Added to that, a child’s voice is narrating in the background. It’s a scary world to live in and your job as a survivor is to save as many lives as you can during the time you have left. In this game, you only have twelve days to save a plague-stricken town.

Since it’s a survival game, you will need to eat, drink, sleep, and do what a normal person would do in order to live. You need to find a way to get to safety within the given time frame. The catch is that other survivors have become mad and aren’t very keen on helping you. If you want to check out Pathologic 2 before its release, the early alpha build is still available for everyone. You are given three days to explore the dead town as one of the three playable characters, it’s not the full game experience but it’s going to give you a glimpse of what Pathologic 2 is all about.
