Valheim launches on Xbox next year

Despite being in Early Access, Valheim has achieved an unprecedented level of success thanks to its innovative mechanics, gritty gameplay, and exciting combat system. Developed by Iron Gate AB, a studio formed for just five people, this indie jewel takes inspiration from Viking culture to deliver an intense and immersive survival experience that gets you instantly hooked. Stylized graphics, a flexible building and crafting system, epic boss fights, and a massive procedurally-generated world are the keys to its success. Valheim has become one of the top-selling games on Steam since it entered Early Access, and as the developer continues to add more content to the game via free updates, more and more players join the ranks of its fans.

Expanding to other platforms

The huge success of Valheim has caught the attention of Microsoft, and the game will soon be available on new platforms. Valheim will launch on the Microsoft Store this fall and will also be part of the PC Game Pass. Therefore, the service subscribers will have access to the game at no additional cost. But there is more! Iron Gate AB has also confirmed that Valheim will release on Xbox consoles in 2023.

You don't have to worry about playing with your friends if they use other platforms because Valheim will feature crossplay multiplayer across all platforms too. It's definitely great news for those already enjoying the experience.

Nothing has been said about future expansion plans to PlayStation or Nintendo Switch, but if Valheim continues getting popular, it's something that will surely be considered at some point.
