Halo Infinite will be released in fall 2021

Since it was first unveiled in 2018, Halo Infinite has captured the interest of plenty of players. Until this summer we have known relatively little about the game, so player expectations were high when it was announced that gameplay was going to be revealed at the Xbox event last July. The images shown that day were a disappointment to the fans, who judged that Halo Infinite offered graphics from another era. 343 Industries announced shortly after that Halo Infinite, whose release was slated to be shared with the new Xbox consoles, would not be available until 2021.

We have known today that that Halo Infinite will finally arrive on Microsoft consoles and PC in the fall of 2021. This good news, accompanied by some images of the game, have been unveiled on Halo Waypoint in an interview with Joseph Staten, creative director from Halo Infinite, who spoke at length about multiplayer and customization. It's not a release date, but things are getting clearer. 343 Industries is also taking this opportunity to reveal some new footage that showcases a Halo Infinite multiplayer map, as well as some armor and weapons for our Spartans. 

This is where the problematic topic comes up. Halo Infinite will feature micro-transactions, but Joseph Staten has stated that they will be only cosmetic items with no impact on the gameplay. Whether you like micro-transactions or not, they seem to be almost unavoidable in a lot of games these days, but as long as they don't provide a significant advantage in the game, they are not such a big problem for most players.

Either way, you'll still have to be patient before you can enjoy Halo Infinite. We hope that such a long time waiting will end with a really good shooting experience worthy of the Halo series.
