Hellblade 2 is coming to PlayStation this summer

Previously an Xbox exclusive, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, the critically acclaimed title from Ninja Theory, will be available to PlayStation 5 players soon.

Another brick in the wall

The news has been shared by Ninja Theory head Dom Matthews on social media alongside the publication of a brand-new video.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to 2017's Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It continues the story of Senua, a Pict warrior battling both fearsome foes and her inner demons. The game has been praised for its haunting visual design, psychological depth, and groundbreaking use of binaural audio to depict psychosis.

On the occasion of the game's first anniversary, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced will launch this summer. According to the developer, the new version is optimized for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 PRO, and it will include new features that will also be available for PC and Xbox as a free update.

The announcement comes as part of Microsoft’s broader initiative to expand its first-party titles to more platforms, which aims to make its games accessible to as many players as possible. The trend confirms a significant evolution in Microsoft's approach to console competition, focusing on engagement and ecosystem growth over platform exclusivity.
